It is hard to fathom why black people are attracted to the democratic party until you realize that our education system has not only not focused on the history of the democratic party but purposefully avoids teaching such history.
Let’s review the history of Democratic Leadership.
Civil War
From the time of the Civil War, Democrats have been involved in instituting Jim Crow laws, intimidating voters, orchestrating the Ku Klux Klan, lynchings, etc. The confederacy was virtually entirely comprised of Democrats!
Confederate General Nathan Forrest, a Democrat, was the first grand wizard of the KKK at the end of the Civil War. His purpose for founding the KKK was to destroy the Reconstruction effort and intimidate the newly freed slaves. It was Republican President Ulysses S Grant that attempted to destroy the KKK. But, unfortunately, the Democratic party won the majority of the house, and such efforts were in vain.
Circa 1913
Democrat President Woodrow Wilson was a seasoned racist activist. Wilson was proud that no African-American students had been admitted while he was president of Princeton University.1
As governor, in 1911, he signed a eugenics bill into law. It was titled, “An ACT to authorize and provide for the sterilization of feeble-minded (including idiots, imbeciles, and morons), epileptics, rapists, certain criminals, and other defectives.” Fortunately, the bill was struck down by the New Jersey Supreme Court.2
Woodrow Wilson’s support for eugenics was wildly popular among progressives (aka, democrats). It became mainstream ideology. It was supported by the scientific community, particularly in genetics. The progressives seemed to relish in the idea of a master race. Through various laws in various cities and states, tens of thousands of Americans were sterilized against their will.
America’s eugenics movement inspired Hitler and resulted in the Holocaust.3
The bottom line is this: The eugenics movement and the application of eugenics were fostered by the progressives and the democratic party. leading to the notion of the creation of a superior race by eliminating segments of the population. Progressive ideology states that all events, current and past, revolve around race rather than socio-economic and cultural issues. At every level, our current Democratic Party, Administration, and captured media force America to see the world through this perspective. The victims have changed, but the dangerous ideology is still in play.
Circa 1922
Margaret Sanger found Planned Parenthood, an organization with a deceptive name, whose ultimate goal is to abort as many black babies as possible. Margaret Sanger was, first and foremost, a ferocious racist. She often spoke to KKK groups (founded by democrats), supported the forcible sterilization of “unfit” women, and is documented as saying, “Eugenics is… the most adequate and thorough avenue to the solution of racial, political and social problems.”4
“birth control is not contraception indiscriminately and thoughtlessly practiced. It means the release and cultivation of the better racial elements in our society, and gradual suppression, elimination and eventual expiration of defective stocks — those human weeds which threaten the blooming of the finest flowers of American civilization.”
Margaret Sanger, “Apostle of Birth Control Sees Cause Gaining Here,” New Yord Times (April 8,1923)
The democratic party has supported Planned Parenthood fervently for more than one hundred years. Even Hillary Clinton accepted the Margaret Sanger Award proudly, among a long list of democrats.
For both Margaret Sanger, and Woodrow Wilson, their racist histories have been white-washed by historians, the media, and the democratic party.
Wilson’s Racist Intentions
It should be noted that Democrat Woodrow Wilson overturned decades of Republican efforts, setting back race relations fifty years. He instituted Jim Crow Laws on a federal level and segregated federal agencies, work areas, lunch facilities, and restrooms. He instituted a photo requirement for federal jobs so that blacks could be blocked from being hired. He fired black federal administrators and aired the racist movie, “The Birth of a Nation,” at the White House.
It is also worth noting that Wilson, along with all Progressives, rejected and still reject the Declaration of Independence’s statements of individual unalienable rights, natural law, eternal truth and value, and divine influence, all of which being the foundation of our country. The document upon which this free nation was founded is one hundred and eighty degrees the opposite of Marxism and Democratic Party racism. Barack Obama openly shuns the Declaration.
It was Wilson’s intention to permanently alter the government of the United States of America.
“We are not bound to adhere to the doctrines held by the signers of the Declaration of Independence. We are as free as they were to make and unmake governments. We are not here to worship men or a document. But neither are we here to indulge in a mere rhetorical and uncritical eulogy, Every Fourth of July should be a time for examining our standards, our purposes, for determining afresh what principles, what forms of power we think most likely to effect out safety and happiness. That and that alone is the obligation the Declaration lays upon us. It is not fetish. Its words lay no compulsion upon the thought of any free man; but it was drawn by men who thought, and it obliges those who receive its benefits to think likewise.“
In this statement, Wilson destroys the principles that actually laid the foundation for freedom and liberty.
We have justices on the Supreme Court who will not endorse the tenets of the Declaration of Independence!
Democratic leaders have forever spouted off about “Transforming the Government.” This is them telling the public that they intend to usurp the republic. And replace it with? … what!? Evidently, Marxist Communism, as that is the end result of everything that they are doing.
I didn’t realize this as I was growing up… And, I am certain most Americans do not realize this even to this day. A Republic is what guarantees our individual liberty. A Democracy forces absolute rule by the majority. From the inception of the Republic, there has been a constant battle between free individuals and groups of people who intend to take complete control. That is the “REPUBLICan” vs. “DEMOCRAT” reality. And, I am confident that virtually all Democrats are not aware that they are supporting an institution that will eventually usher in Communism… the ultimate control of a society by a small group.
Today, this is most notably evidenced by the extreme push to destroy the Bill of Rights, the Checks and Balances, the Separation of Powers, the Electoral College, Voting Protocols, and the Commerce Clause.
The liberal propaganda being espoused also equates everything regarding the Republic (including the Constitution) as being inspired by “slave” owners and is, therefore, trash to be thrown away. Meanwhile, over the hundreds of years to follow, the United States of America led the way in the formal systemic elimination of slavery, introducing multiple civil rights acts and abolishing all systemically racist laws in spite of many democrat racist administrations that tried desperately to enhance systemic racism.
Circa 1933 – Franklin Delano Roosevelt
Now, Don’t tell me that the Democratic Party’s number-one hero was a racist!
Sorry… But he may have been one of the worst of all racists.
The reason he is considered the hero of the Democrats is because of his New Deal agenda and “transforming” the United States from a Constitutional Republic to socialism. Keep in mind that we are still a constitutional Republic and that we are only perceived as socialist. But, if we allow liberal political officials to legislate the Constitution into oblivion, then we will be left with communism, most certainly. To my liberal readers, I can only point out that historically, during periods when the government protects individual rights, nations prosper, and during periods when the government usurps rights (i.e., socialism, communism, dictatorship), nations decline. There is no exception to these trends. If we don’t re-establish individual liberty (the Republic), then the decline can only continue. I agree as much as anyone that a balance between liberalism and conservatism would be a great thing. But, unfortunately, this always creates a tug-of-war that destabilizes society, as is happening now.
Let’s get back to some of Roosevelt’s very anti-black pivotal moments in history:
1934 Federal Housing Administration (FHA)
The purpose of the FHA was to insure mortgages. This, in turn, would increase homeownership in the United States of America. Unfortunately, it denied insurance in and around black neighborhoods, fostering white subdivisions and disallowing any African-American ownership. Yes, my friends. Famed Democratic leader Franklin Roosevelt was responsible for “redlining.” The maps that the industry used to indicate where it was safe to insure mortgages anywhere that African Americans lived were colored red to let the appraisers know that there was an insurance risk.5
1936 Berlin Olympics
The United States Olympic athletes were invited to the White House shortly after the Berlin Olympics. However, Jesse Owens, the star of the Olympics, was not invited. He noted that Hitler did not snub him. But FDR did. And that the president did not even send him a telegram.6
1940 Anti-Lynching Bill
The anti-lynching bill had been floating around the legislature for as many as eight years. Roosevelt would not support it for fear of losing Democrats, particularly in the South. Roosevelt had served two terms and was hoping for a third term. The bill died in Congress and was never brought up again for the rest of his presidency.7
Armed Forces Segregation
Roosevelt refused to desegregate the Armed Forces, which Wilson had segregated.8
NAACP
Roosevelt never used his political capital to do anything meaningful to help blacks. [He] never spoke to the NAACP or gave a single speech devoted to black concerns, and even banned black reporters from White House press conferences.”9
Post Roosevelt – 1964
Twenty years after Roosevelt died, the 1964 Civil Rights Act was passed. It essentially outlawed Jim Crow and discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin. Amazingly, it was opposed by 69% of Senate Democrats and opposed by 61% of House Democrats. It was supported by 82% of Senate Republicans and 80% of House Republicans. 74% of the “no” votes were Democrats in the House. 78% of “no” votes were Democrats in the Senate. [Remember the title of this article? “Why do Blacks Like the Democratic Party“]. The bill was actually filibustered for 70 days in a desperate attempt by the democrats to kill it. The racist democrat political leader who tried desperately to kill the bill continued to serve in Congress in positions of minority leader and majority leader until 1989. Should it surprise you that this man, John Byrd, was a recruiter and organizer for the KKK in West Virginia?10
Upon his death, the leaders of the Democrat party honored him… Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, and many other Democrats. Joe Biden and others stated that John Byrd was a “mentor“. Really!
President Lyndon B Johnson (Democrat)
LBJ was known for his support of the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act of 1964 and 1965, respectively. However, LBJ constantly used the “n” word. When Johnson nominated Thurgood Marshall for Supreme Court Justice (the first black justice), he said that he appointed a lesser-known black just because “when I appoint a [“n” word] to the bench, I want everybody to know he’s a [“n” word].11
We should further note that through 1957, LBJ never supported civil rights legislation or any civil rights legislation. No voting rights bills, no anti-discrimination bills, no anti-segregation bills, no anti-lynching bills.12
Due to pressure, in 1957, Johnson, as Senate majority leader, helped President Eisenhower pass the 1957 Civil Rights Act. However, he spent the better part of a year weakening the bill before the vote. He had to change his stance as he intended to run for the presidency in 1960.13
It’s worth noting that the Civil Rights Acts of 1875, 1957, 1960, 1964, and 1965 were overwhelmingly supported by Republicans. Republican president Ronald Reagan in 1982 signed a 25-year extension of the Voting Rights Act. Reagan also signed into law the designation of Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday as a national holiday.
LBJ only changed his tune because he realized that the nation came to despise the Southern Democratic Segregationists, and he would not survive in politics unless he gave it up.
To summarize thus far, the Democratic party has been decidedly the most organized, systemic, and malignant political institution behind racism, bigotry, and segregation throughout much of American History, extending deep into the 1970s.
Mid 1970s – Joe Biden
Joe Biden, as a senator, had close relationships with a few of the most notorious racists and segregationists, in which he shows pride to this day. Biden worked closely with Mississippi senator James Eastland, who fought against the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, among others, to head off the effort to start public school integration.14
“[unless there is ] orderly integration… [m]y children are going to grow up in a jungle, the jungle being a racial jungle.15
— Joe Biden
Back in the day, when Sleepy Joe wasn’t so sleepy, he often bragged about the praise he would receive from Democrat Governor George Wallace, an unapologetic racist and segregationist. Biden has a long history of racist remarks and stereotyping comments about blacks and other minorities. It seems he has never stopped making these remarks, even with his current anti-white rhetoric.16
Marc Thiessen wrote in the Washington Post: “Biden wants credit for nominating the first black woman to the Supreme Court. But here is the shameful irony: as a senator, Biden warned President Bush that if he nominated the first black woman to serve on the Supreme Court, he would filibuster and kill her nomination.17 He threatened to make Janice Brown the first black woman in history to have a nomination killed by filibuster.18
The Champion of Civil Rights!?
How did the Democrat Party define itself as the champion of civil rights while at the same time foisting the false narrative that the Republican Party is racist?
Circa 1960
In the 1960s, the Democrat Party, through pure rhetoric, bull-dozed their century-old affiliation with the Ku Klux Klan and their relentless opposition to every major civil-rights bill presented. It was a matter of survival for the Democrat Party. It was not a benevolent change of heart. The shift in opinion of the average American was to that of individual rights for all, and there was a move towards the Republic Party. That should not be a surprise now that you understand “REPUBLICanism” is the foundation that our nation of Liberty was built upon. For the Democrat Party to maintain their old viability, they had to sing a different tune even if they didn’t like it.
Never in the history of the united States of America has the Republican Party broken from its Civil Rights history.
Slavery Abolished
Reconstruction
Anti-Lynching
14th Amendment
15th Amendment
Civil Rights Act of 1875
Civil Rights Act of 1957
Civil Rights Act of 1960
Civil Rights Act of 1964
Likewise, the Democrat Party always showed staunch opposition to ‘abolishing slavery,’ ‘Reconstruction,’ ‘Anti-Lynching Laws,’ ‘the 14th Amendment’, ‘the 15th Amendment’, and all of the ‘Civil Rights Acts.’
Supporting the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was a radical change for the Democrat Party, and they did so in the name of remaining viable (in other words, “for survival”).
When did Blacks start falling away from the Republican Party?
Blacks had an allegiance to Abraham Lincoln for obvious reasons. However, as generations passed, the older Blacks died off, and so to, did the memory of Lincoln and the entire slavery situation. Further, the Great Depression was devastating for America—particularly the poorest of Americans, including black Americans. The recession leading up to the Depression was under a Republican Administration (Herbert Hoover). People equate the current administration with current economic health, even though this is not an accurate way to assess a situation. Nonetheless, people, including the Black population, looked to the Democrats for an answer to the current economic misery. Many blacks were moving from the South to the North. Strong democratic political machines were forming in the northern cities. And, so, the usual propaganda was used to sway the poorer class to become democrats. Many jobs (patronage) actually required you to be a registered Democrat.
The New Deal was actually a quite racist endeavor as it did more to hold blacks down than it could have ever done to lift them out of the poorer classes. In spite of that fact, some community-type educational, public works, and other programs were available. And this made the Democrat Administration appealing.
It was in 1936 that, for the first time, more blacks voted for Democrats than for Republicans.

I want to recommend a book, the author of which will make my liberal friends’ hair bristle and stand on end. But, you know me. My left brain and right brain work in concert. I equate that to the liberal half and the conservative half. They must work together in order to achieve happiness on a personal level and for society at large. So, I encourage you to be open-minded and read this book in its entirety. You can be creative… You can have liberal viewpoints… and also understand that there must be a staunch, unrelenting, agreed-upon moral fabric in order for society to function well… and for there to be peace and harmony in the world.
The Democrat Party Hates America
Mark Levin
I don’t like purchasing from the likes of Amazon, as all of the large corporations, Black Rock, WEF, and Klaus Schwab, are currently working in concert to re-engineer society for the New World Order. This is not something I will feed with my dollars. I don’t want 15-minute cities. I don’t want Vaccine Passports. I don’t want the loss of bodily autonomy. I don’t want centralized electricity with no other fuel sources, as this allows a government to flip a single switch to deprive an entire disgruntled region of the ability to survive. But, if you must use Amazon, here is the link.
I don’t know if you can get away with buying from a local bookseller. There are so few of them now. But, that would be the way to go. I always go out of my way to support small local businesses… Every chance I get.
I also recommend you get a paper version rather than Kindle. I always consider the reality that all of that media can disappear in a heartbeat at the whim of a corporation or government. This book rates as one we need to have in paper to share with future generations. Especially if things keep going the way they are right now.
